Theme: How figures live (About the life of the figures)
PROUD FIGURE ONE
- Hello, rocket! - exclaimed figure One, looking at the sharp-nosed rocket in the sky. Me, figure One, similar to you! You are all alone, the only one in the deserted space and you are afraid nothing! I like to count those who are one! That, who is one, it the most important!
- I am not one, there are many cosmonauts inside me, and so many stars around me, - objected the rocket from height.
- Figure One, let's go for a walk, - Figure Two called Figure One, her neighbour.
- I wish to walk alone. The one who one is the most important, - proudly answered Figure One. – There is only ONE SUN in the sky one sun and person has go only one head.
- But person walks on two legs and does everything with the help of two hands, - reminded figure Two.
- Still the most important in the person is his head, - stubbornly repeated Figure One.
- But there are two eyes and two ears, - objected Figure Two. – How head can work without them?
Try to help these figures to understand, who is more important: Number On or Number Two?
Conversation
- How do you think, why person has got only one tongue, but two ears and two eyes?
- Why it is better rather to see once, than to hear a hundred times?
- Why, when you travel alone, the road seems much longer?
- What kinds of events in the life of each person happen only once?
- Think of any subject and tell, not naming the subject, how would people live if they have only one of this subject. For example: if there is only (-) in the house then it would impossible to do lessons when everyone eat [table]. If there was only one (-) then only the oldest person would sit on it [chair]. The others should guess, about what subject they are talking about.
Figure "The Portrait of Figure One"
Divide children into groups. Each group should draw a portrait of Figure One in an image of the fairy (tsarina, a girl, a tiny person), etc. Then children, looking at their drawings, should explain about the character of represented Figure.
Game “Naughty Figure One"
Children stand in different corners of the room. The teacher bypasses them and unnoticeably puts in the hands of one of the children a card with Figure One. This person becomes ‘a naughty Figure One'. At the announcement: "One, two, three, Figure One, you lead! " the child, who received the card, lifts one hand, while everyone try to escape from him, using only one leg. Then, Figure One, also only on one leg, should try to reach any of the children and touch him.
The one whom ‘Figure One' touches, should stay still and motionless till the end of the game.
The challenge of the Figure One – to overcome and touch as much players as possible. If Figure One gets tired and get on his/her two legs, game should continue with another ‘Figure One”.
DREAMS OF THE FIGURE TWO
What the Figure* Two dreams about
Once Figure Two met with the swan and told him:
- I am similar to you. And my biggest wish is to learn to fly like you do!
- I don't want to fly anymore, - sadly answered the swan. – My best swan-friend today got caught in the hunter's pitfall, and I am very worried about him.
- I'll try to help you to rescue your friend, - promised Figure Two.
Soon the beautiful swan was released and came back home safe and sound.
Both swans bowed to Figure Two in gratitude and said:
- Thank you so much for your help, you are similar to us and, what is very important, kind as we are.
- But I can't fly like you, - the Two has sighed.
- Don't worry, take these two white feathers from us - for memory, these feathers will fulfill your wish, - offered swans.
The very next day Figure Two was proudly flying in the air with the help of two big wings.
- Swans gave me two magic feathers and they turned into two powerful wings, - excitedly explained Figure Two.
- The one who dreams to fly, will fly, - noticed the Figures.
! How do you think, what else the figure Two still dreams about?
* Figure Two = Number Two
Conversation
How you think, where Figure Two will fly on these wings?
Explain the meaning of this proverb "A bird in the hand worth two in the bush.” Try to recollect any two important acts and explain, which of them more important and why?
In which situation one can say about people: "They make a pair" or "they are alike as two drops of the water"? How do you think, whether friends should be "like two drops of water (like peas in a pood)", and why?
Why people say, that a lazy person works twice?
Game "Whose pair is faster"
Divide children into pairs and join hands. Each pair, not separating hands, should reach the table and quickly put in the schoolbag pens, pencils and textbooks scattered on a table. Then children should tell how many objects were on the table and describe them.
The fastest and more attentive pair wins.
Game "Find and complete a pair"
One child should represent Figure Two. In five minutes Figure Two should divide all children on pairs so that:
Both children in one pair should be interested in the same kind of sports; or
Both in pair should be the same height; or
Both should have identical color of hair or eyes; or
Both should clothes of same color, etc.
Game should be played several times. The one who in five minutes will manage to match more pairs wins.
Figure "Two objects"
Draw objects associated with Figure Two, for example: a bicycle (two wheels), gloves (two gloves), skis, glasses etc. Write (or draw illustrations to) short stories about friendship of Figure Two with these objects.
